Joining Bottles Box Stool 12 | Reclaimed Wood Offcuts & Plastic Bottles

Sale price£590.00

LIMITED EDITION

Part of our HOST-exclusive JOINING BOTTLES range, the Box Stool 12 embodies much about creativity and circular design. Birch plywood, Elliotis plywood, and Douglas fir offcuts, sourced directly from the designer's shared workshop, converge to create a stunning yet minimalist piece. Versatile in design, it serves also as a side table maximising functionality and the use of natural resources.

Designed by the award-wining Micaella Pedros, JOINING BOTTLES is an utterly unique collection of objects crafted from reclaimed wooden offcuts and repurposed plastic bottles, joined using a unique joinery technique. Through the application of heat, plastic bottles are transformed into a wood bonding material, offering a meaningful approach to constructing functional structures.

The Designer

Micaella Pedros

Micaella Pedros is an award-winning designer whose practice is driven by sustainability, resourcefulness and empowerment. Working with local resources and discarded materials, she explores new possibilities for their use, transforming the overlooked into objects of function, character and value.

From her distinctive plastic joinery technique to gravity-powered machines, her work moves between furniture and sculpture, combining material experimentation with a strong narrative approach to design.

Pedros holds a Master’s Degree in Design Products from the Royal College of Art (2016), as well as two qualifications in Industrial and Product Design from ENSAAMA in Paris (DSAA, 2014; BTS, 2012).

Her work has been collected and exhibited internationally, including at Aram Gallery in London, the Design Museum of Barcelona, IFA Pure Gold in Germany, the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design in the USA, ArtHouse Jersey and CODA Museum in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
