Hackney Woods is an ultra-local collection of highly distinctive and functional wooden objects. The handcrafted range repurposes freshly felled logs sourced from local tree surgeons who manage the street trees of East London, giving them a second life as striking additions to our homes.
The collection combines traditional and contemporary techniques and features a diverse selection of woods, including walnut, cherry, plum, poplar, London plane, spalted beech, and sycamore. As the timber retains a high moisture content, each piece naturally shifts and warps as it dries, developing its own unique character, ensuring that no two items are ever alike.
