_________
A series of sculptural artefacts exploring femininity, craft and sacredness.
The breast carries many meanings - nourishing, political, resistant, erotic, empowering or tender, and this series celebrates its multifaceted presence through material, gesture and form.
Born from the artist’s enduring fascination with this most feminine of forms, the Wood Boob series is imaginative and elegant, both tactile and sculptural. Natural tones and grains from carefully selected wooden offcuts suggest a spectrum of skin tones. The form is intentionally archetypal and symmetrical - an outcome of the woodturning process, while the colour, pattern and character of the timber make every piece entirely unique.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, each piece brings depth and material storytelling. Displayed as an ornamental object or wall-mounted as an expressive finishing detail, the series offers bold yet intimate accents for daring, design-led spaces.
Handmade in London from locally sourced wooden offcuts, every object is shaped through an intuitive “conversation” with the wood, responding to how each piece evolves during the making process. Each artefact stands as a testament to low-impact craft and material sensitivity at the heart of the collection.
