Made from 100% excavation waste from the construction industry, the dishes are fired once to 1060 degrees Celsius, resulting in a porous body that allows water to pass through. Produced in limited editions only, the colour and finish will vary depending on which site the clay is excavated from.
A total of 36.4% of the EU's waste is from the construction industry. Due to the volume and weight, it is incredibly costly to dispose of and few materials are reused. Working with the construction industry, Sara reclaims the clay from excavation waste to produce ceramics. This symbiotic relationship diverts waste away from landfill and eliminates the consumption of virgin raw materials.
