Using the natural capacity of fungus to digest organic matter, the studio uses locally collected takeaway cups for mycelium [the vegetative part of fungus] to feed on and create a strong biomaterial used to 3D print the vase range.
Each piece is unique according to the way the organism grows. Items might vary slightly in colour or appearance, which we hope you see as an advantage rather than a vice!
How to recycle: During the production process the mycelium digest the waste raw material but not entirely therefore if left it might leave traces.
