EggsLike Pencil Tray made from compostable biowaste.

The EggsLike range of desktop organisers and home accessories is made from a newly developed, biowaste material that includes egg shells and spent coffee grounds. The biomaterial’s unique, stone-like texture, reminiscent of limestone makes the range extremely distinctive.

Designed by Constantina Elia exclusively for HOST, the collection represents the first body of work that combines calcareous food waste, with gelatine and coffee grounds to create a strong, durable and heat resistant material. With eggshells being the core ingredient, each objects contains 300 to 400 grams of waste.

How to recycle: Objects are fully compostable, furthermore they would contribute to the topsoil nourishment since eggshells are rich source of calcium.
